Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Biomarker Scientist to support and execute our CNS Biomarker discovery program. The successful candidate will develop translational strategies for novel therapeutics to assess pharmacodynamics, patient selection criteria, and mechanism of action.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and execute experiments, contributing high-level scientific neurodegeneration pathways expertise
  • Develop and implement customized RNA and protein quantification assays
  • Design and oversee the execution of discovery plans
  • Analyze data, interpret results, and develop creative troubleshooting plans
  • Identify and manage contract research vendors and studies
  • Proactively review the scientific field to identify and share new findings with the QurAlis team
  • Collaborate with clinical experts to translate biomarker plans
  • Communicate effectively across the organization with translational medicine, clinical development, and discovery teams
  • Present research findings internally and externally at scientific meetings/conferences
Requirements
  • PhD in cell biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, neuroscience, or a related field
  • 3-5 years relevant experience in academic and/or industry settings, including experience in neurodegenerative disease mechanisms, disease modeling, drug discovery, or assay development
  • Proven track record of scientific excellence as evidenced by high-impact, peer-reviewed publications
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams
  • Strong organizational skills, work ethic, and high-level motivation
  • Capacity to be highly productive in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Authorized to work legally in the United States
