The Role:

Moderna is seeking a seasoned leader to provide strategic direction and oversight to the Biomarker Operations group within the Clinical Biomarkers Department. As Associate Director, you will collaborate with biomarker leads, clinical teams, and partner CROs to drive biomarker operations deliverables and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

This role will lead cross-functional teams to develop and implement biomarker operational strategies for all Moderna clinical trials, focusing on innovation and digital opportunities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supervising and leading a team of biomarker operation team members
  • Developing and implementing biomarker operational strategies
  • Collaborating with clinical study teams and biomarker leads to ensure compliance and training
  • Standardizing biomarker sections of clinical protocols, clinical kit development, lab manuals, and consent forms
  • Strategizing and developing creative solutions for process improvements for clinical sample lifecycle

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a life science-based subject; advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum of 8 years of clinical sample management experience, including sponsor experience
  • Previous people management experience required
  • Solid understanding of GCP/ICH
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
