Sonoma State University is seeking a highly qualified and experienced academic professional to join our Geology Department as a part-time lecturer. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate geology courses, primarily in a large-lecture format, and contributing to the department's recruitment efforts.
Key Responsibilities- Teach undergraduate geology courses, including large-lecture format general education courses
- Contribute to the Geology Department's recruitment efforts
- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies to engage students and promote academic success
- Stay current with developments in the field of geology and incorporate relevant research and best practices into teaching and curriculum development
- Bachelor's degree in Geology or a related Earth Science field
- Extensive professional experience in an Earth Science-related industry
