Sonoma State University is seeking a highly qualified and experienced academic professional to join our Chemistry Department as a part-time lecturer. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a variety of chemistry courses, including lab courses and lecture courses, to undergraduate students.
Key Responsibilities- Teach a variety of chemistry courses, including lab courses and lecture courses, to undergraduate students.
- Develop and implement engaging and effective teaching methods to promote student learning and success.
- Assess student learning and provide feedback to students.
- Stay current with developments in the field of chemistry and incorporate new knowledge and techniques into teaching and research.
- Collaborate with other faculty members and staff to promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Master's or Ph.D. in Chemistry or a closely related field.
- Teaching experience in college-level chemistry courses.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Experience teaching online or hybrid courses.
- Experience with curriculum development and assessment.
- Experience with educational technology and pedagogical tools.
