Academic Faculty Position for Part-time Lecturer in Native American Studies

Sonoma State University is seeking a highly qualified and experienced part-time lecturer to join our Native American Studies department. As a part-time lecturer, you will be responsible for teaching lower and upper division courses in Native American Studies, as well as contributing to the department's curriculum development and academic advising.
Key Responsibilities- Teach lower and upper division courses in Native American Studies, including courses in environmental studies, sovereignty, Indigeneity, gender and sexuality, literature, culture and language reclamation and revitalization.
- Contribute to the development of the department's curriculum and academic programs.
- Provide academic advising and support to students.
- Participate in departmental and university service, including committee work and professional development activities.
- M.A. required, ABD or Ph.D. preferred, in one or more areas of Native American and Indigenous Studies.
- Two or more years of teaching experience.
- Commitment to working with a diverse student population.
- Expertise in more than one academic field and educational and background experience in inter/trans-disciplinary and decolonial pedagogies.
