Position Overview

Purpose of the Role

The Head of Brand Strategy & Communication is responsible for providing strategic direction and tactical implementation of the organization's branding, communication, media outreach, social media engagement, and creative services. This role is pivotal in fostering a culture of inclusivity within Inteleos Inc.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and execute a comprehensive communication strategy that aligns with the organization's mission, enhances brand recognition, supports business goals, and ensures a cohesive approach across both long-term and short-term communication initiatives;
  • Establish and uphold a uniform brand identity across all communication channels, collaborating with various teams to ensure brand messaging is reflective of organizational values and resonates with intended audiences;
  • Oversee the organization’s social media strategy, planning, and execution to maximize organic engagement and brand visibility, ensuring the production of multimedia content that is engaging, relevant, and consistent with brand messaging;
  • Supervise the development of high-quality content, including press releases, articles, and multimedia materials, ensuring all content is compelling, consistent, and aligned with the organization's brand messaging;
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key media outlets, journalists, and influencers; respond to media inquiries promptly and effectively to ensure accurate representation of the organization;
  • Formulate and implement internal communication strategies that cultivate a cohesive organizational culture, keeping employees informed and engaged with company developments;
  • Develop and regularly update crisis communication plans and protocols to safeguard the organization's reputation during challenging situations; act as a skilled spokesperson during crises, ensuring transparent and consistent communication;
  • Establish and assess key performance indicators (KPIs) and objectives and key results (OKRs) to enhance the effectiveness of communication and brand strategies;
  • Recruit, develop, and lead a skilled and motivated communications team; provide mentorship and guidance to team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment;
  • Implement robust project management processes to ensure timely delivery of creative materials, establishing clear workflows and communication channels to optimize collaboration within the creative team and across departments;
  • Collaborate with other departments to align creative initiatives with organizational objectives, ensuring seamless integration of creative services into the broader communication and brand strategy;
  • Work closely with the brand strategy team to translate messaging into visually compelling content, while also implementing and enforcing consistent application of visual elements to enhance and strengthen the organization's brand identity;
  • Diversify content types to cater to the needs of various communication channels and target audiences;
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Environment

  • Operates under executive guidance, with considerable latitude in determining work objectives.

Work Environment

The incumbent will work in an office environment or an approved remote location. This position may require flexibility in hours, including evenings and weekends, as well as occasional travel. Minimal physical requirements are needed for lifting or moving equipment.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree or Certification in Communications, Public Relations, or a related field;
  • A minimum of five years of experience as a Creative Director and/or Visual Brand Manager;
  • A minimum of seven years of experience in senior-level communications and brand strategy;
  • A minimum of five years of experience in a management role;
  • Experience in project management within a multi-project environment.

  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude under stressful conditions and assist in fostering a positive culture within the department and organization;
  • Experience with digital communication tools and platforms, including social media management and analytics;
  • Proficiency in creating and maintaining departmental budgets, demonstrating strong financial acumen;
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines, demonstrating a track record of successful project delivery;
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic communication plans at a senior level;
  • Familiarity with crisis communication strategies and media relations, with experience handling high-stakes situations.
