Job Overview

The State of Virginia is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Administrative Operations Coordinator to join their team. This role will provide administrative coordination and logistical support to the IT Help Desk, ensuring seamless operations and exceptional customer service.

About the Job

This is a full-time position with an estimated salary range of $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience. The successful candidate will have at least one year of relevant experience and a high school diploma or equivalent.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of 10-20 Help Desk student workers, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Coordinate purchasing requests for the IT Operations group, ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement of necessary resources.
  • Fulfill service request forms with central UVA departments, maintaining effective communication and collaboration.
  • Edit technology and facility content on the MyMcIntire community website, ensuring accuracy and up-to-date information.
  • Manage communications to the McIntire community, utilizing digital signage, mass email, or other approved tools to disseminate important information.
  • Perform other administrative duties as assigned, including basic troubleshooting and technical support.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • At least one year of relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Prior experience supervising student workers or full-time employees is preferred.
  • Strong technical skills, including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organization skills and ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment.
