Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Facility Manager to join our team at the University of Virginia. As a key member of our Division of Student Affairs, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating building maintenance, repair, custodial services, grounds, and emergency management of student affairs managed facilities.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Facilities Management to coordinate and schedule preventative, routine, and deferred maintenance, risk management and safety audits.
  • Work closely with Director of Space Planning and Management for Student Affairs on capital priorities and on-site contractor needs.
  • Monitor cleanliness of facilities and alert custodial services of any issues.
  • Conduct daily rounds of student affairs managed facilities.
  • Submit work orders to Facilities Management for maintenance needs and monitor progress.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • At least four years of experience in facilities management.
  • Supervision experience and customer service engagement skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with electronic access control systems and design software (e.g., AutoCAD).
Compensation and Benefits

The anticipated hiring range for this position is $65,000.00 - 80,000.00 annually, commensurate with qualifications and experience. The successful candidate will pass a background check. This is an exempt-level, benefited position with UVa benefits, including:
