The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing effective data management and governance practices, ensuring adherence to our Data Policy, Standards and Procedures, and leading a team of Segment Data Officers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a robust culture of effective data management governance practices and provide guidance and oversight to Segment Data Offices.
  • Coach, develop, and mentor team members, including developing, communicating, and measuring performance against goals.
  • Foster a culture of trust and shared responsibility that allows for better coordination across the team and distributed groups across the enterprise.
  • Ensure the Segment Data Offices certify and monitor the business' critical data elements, including the ongoing improvement of data quality, technical metadata, business definitions, lineage, and reference data.
  • Lead engagement with Enterprise Data Leaders, Information and Technology Risk Committee (ITRC), Business Data Insights Officers (BDIOs), and Technology Leaders to drive and communicate progress against our goals.
  • Collaborate with Segment level Business Leaders and Risk Officers on data matters and escalate to the authoritative governing body ITRC and Risk Management Committee (RMC) when required.
  • Identify data-related controls on systems that support critical segment processes and customers and develop business performance reporting and/or dashboards to provide timely insights.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum of 15 years of progressively responsible experience working in a data-related position, including minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience designing and implementing data management and governance frameworks, preferably in banking/financial services.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Masters in data analytics or management, minimum of 15 years of experience leading data-related projects or programs, including building teams and managing seasoned colleagues.
