Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to fill the role of Deputy in Corrections. As a Deputy, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of inmates, staff, and visitors within the correctional facility. You will also be responsible for enforcing facility rules and regulations, conducting searches, and providing information and responses to inmate requests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct safety and security inspections to identify and address potential safety and security issues
  • Supervise inmates and provide direction and coaching to ensure compliance with facility rules and regulations
  • Provide information and responses to inmate requests in a timely and professional manner
  • Engage in effective interpersonal communication and interaction with inmates, staff, and visitors
  • Work collaboratively with other staff members to maintain a safe and secure environment
Requirements:
  • Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Possession of a valid motor vehicle operator's license
  • Eighteen (18) years of age by the time of hire
  • No felony convictions
