Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Interior Architecture Designer to join our team at Streetsense. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for contributing to the design and documentation of interior architecture projects, including concept development, design refinement, and construction administration activities.

This is a full-time position located in our Washington, DC headquarters. We welcome local candidates and/or those moving to the Washington Metro area.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with project designers and managers to develop design concepts and refine designs through the construction administration phase.
  • Support the preparation of materials, specifications, and construction documents.
  • Assist in the development of graphic presentations and storyboards for client meetings.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Support the design team in the development of design standards and procedures.

Requirements

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual with a bachelor's or master's degree in interior design or architecture from a CIDA or NAAB-accredited program. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of post-graduate professional experience, preferably in the hospitality industry.

Key Skills

  • Proficiency in Revit or relevant BIM software.
  • Intermediate graphic and presentation skills in Adobe Creative Suite and SketchUp.
  • Experience in construction documentation production.
  • Familiarity with construction materials and specifications.
  • Familiarity with Furniture, Fixture and Finish applications.
  • Hand drafting/sketching skills.
  • Understanding and application of design principles, theories, color, and materials.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Interest in starting the ARE or NCIDQ examinations.
  • Self-directed, motivated, collaborative, and professional.

Salary and Benefits

The base salary for this position is $50,000 - $60,000, and we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, 401k match, and wellbeing resources.
