Senior Project Interior Designer

HOK is seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Interior Designer to join our Sports + Recreation + Entertainment team in Kansas City. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality interior design solutions that meet our clients' needs and exceed their expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement interior design concepts that are creative, functional, and sustainable.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design solutions meet project requirements and objectives.
  • Conduct space planning, layout, and furniture selection to optimize interior spaces.
  • Coordinate color and material palettes to create visually appealing and cohesive designs.
  • Prepare and present design concepts to clients and stakeholders.
  • Manage and coordinate with vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to continuously improve design skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in architecture, interior design, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in interior design projects, with a focus on senior-level roles.
  • NCIDQ certification or registered architect with current license.
  • LEED credential within 6 months of employment.
  • Proficiency in 3D modeling software, MS Office, and other design tools.
  • Excellent communication, project management, and leadership skills.
