Job Title: Interior Designer

We are seeking an experienced Interior Designer to join our team at Koniag Government Services. As an Interior Designer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing interior spaces that meet the needs of our clients.

Responsibilities:
  • Direct the implementation of projects through all phases of design, from programming to construction documentation.
  • Manage and coordinate schedules, hours, and work output with multiple in-house disciplines and/or consultants.
  • Monitor established standards and guidelines to ensure projects comply with scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Shape and develop client relationships, existing and new.
  • Work closely with Design Principals and SMEs across the globe to advocate an inter-disciplinary design approach and philosophy.
  • Lead programming efforts, developing programming documents and associated deliverables.
  • Champion design excellence through quality of deliverables.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in interior design from a CIDA-accredited school.
  • NCIDQ certification.
  • 15 years' minimum experience in a commercial environment.
  • Government design experience a plus.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Experience in construction documents, CSI, and FF&E specifications.
  • Understanding of building codes, ADA requirements, and LEED sustainability.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit (preferred), and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Top Secret Security Clearance.
Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment with a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time.

The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations, and withstand moderate amounts of stress. The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
