The Learning Coach plays a critical role in the success of Grocery Outlet's Aspiring Operators in Training (AOTs) and Training Store Operators (TSOs). This position is responsible for ensuring program objectives are met and skills are developed and applied through coaching, assessment, and evaluation. The Learning Coach is the strongest advocate for the AOTs during their training journey, fostering strong business relationships among the AOT cohort, local operator network, and GOI business partners.
Key Responsibilities- Facilitate Orientation and Welcome Meetings: Communicate best practices for AOT success and ensure a smooth onboarding process.
- Manage AOT Cohort and Remote Learning: Oversee remote learning courses, discussions, and virtual learning tools, ensuring AOTs have the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed.
- Support AOTs in Virtual Learning: Assist AOTs in using virtual learning tools, such as LMS and simulations, to enhance their learning experience.
- Assign and Evaluate Coursework: Assign and evaluate coursework and business plan components, providing feedback and guidance to AOTs.
- Communicate Learning Activities and Track Progress: Communicate required learning activities and track completion, ensuring AOTs stay on track with their training.
- Monitor In-Store Training Effectiveness: Conduct regular coaching sessions with AOTs and TSOs to monitor the effectiveness and efficiency of in-store training.
- Coordinate Additional Learning Experiences: Coordinate additional outside learning experiences, such as grand openings, local marketing projects, and inventories, to provide AOTs with real-world experience.
- Partner with Assessors: Partner with assessors to provide recommendations on training plans and ensure AOTs receive personalized development plans.
- Prepare Development Plans: Prepare personalized development plans based on scorecard, assessment results, and AOT needs, ensuring AOTs receive tailored support.
- Coordinate Program Course Calendar: Coordinate program course calendar, assessments, and learning experiences in partnership with key business partners.
- Verify Expected Behaviors and Work Habits: Verify expected behaviors and work habits conducive to operating a successful store, ensuring AOTs are equipped to succeed.
- Monitor Progress on Readiness: Monitor progress on overall readiness to apply and operate a store, ensuring AOTs are prepared for the next step.
- Identify Subject Matter Experts: Identify and prepare subject matter experts for testimonials and question-and-answer discussions, providing AOTs with valuable insights and guidance.
The Grocery Outlet Recruiting & Training team is responsible for hiring and developing Aspiring Operators in Training (AOTs). Our AOTs are the crucial pipeline of Independent Store Owners. We have a very rigorous selection and development approach, accomplished by robust sourcing and assessment, facilitating scalable learning and development, cultivating, and communicating best practices and leveraging our unique culture.
About the Pay- Base Salary Range: $75,000 - $85,000 Annually
