Job Overview

As the Operations Director, you will oversee all revenue-generating and operational activities at our locations. Your leadership will ensure that all establishments are well-maintained, adequately staffed, and adhere to high operational and financial standards.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

  • Ensure that all managers and staff understand the importance of preparing each location for daily operations, holding them accountable for compliance with opening and closing procedures.
  • Facilitate the creation and execution of the annual budget and financial forecasts, guiding unit management to meet sales and profit objectives.
  • Develop and nurture relationships with landlords, brand partners, and other stakeholders to foster collaboration and success.

Staff Management

  • Conduct interviews and make hiring decisions for key positions, promoting our company as an employer of choice.
  • Authorize personnel changes, ensuring that all locations have a designated leader present during operational hours.
  • Support the onboarding and offboarding processes for all staff, ensuring compliance with training and company policies.
  • Champion employee engagement initiatives, recognizing and motivating staff for their contributions.
  • Provide ongoing support and coaching to restaurant teams to help them achieve business objectives.

Product and Equipment Oversight

  • Ensure that all locations are stocked with necessary products and that staff are trained in order procedures.
  • Manage vendor relationships to resolve supply chain issues and ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Monitor restaurant equipment and schedule maintenance as needed to ensure operational efficiency.

Financial Acumen

  • Analyze financial and operational data to track progress towards goals and make informed decisions.
  • Engage with regional leadership on financial matters and implement necessary controls.

Safety and Compliance

  • Maintain a thorough understanding of health and safety regulations, ensuring all staff are trained and compliant.
  • Implement wellness protocols and ensure adherence to safety standards across all locations.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or equivalent experience in multi-unit restaurant management.
  • A minimum of 5 years of multi-unit management experience in the restaurant industry.
  • Strong financial understanding and the ability to navigate P&L statements effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build positive relationships.
  • Strong leadership capabilities, with a focus on team development and performance management.

This position is an exempt role under the Fair Labor Standards Act and requires a flexible schedule to meet operational needs.
