Role Summary

The Senior Project Manager will oversee the strategic direction, successful completion, and financial performance of multiple small to medium-sized projects or a single large-scale project. This role involves leading a team of project managers and assistant project managers to achieve outstanding results for our clients while actively seeking new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define project goals, policies, procedures, and performance metrics in alignment with corporate standards.
  • Supervise daily operations and administration of projects, ensuring effective management of team members.
  • Provide training and mentorship to Project Managers, instilling company values and operational systems.
  • Negotiate and oversee the preparation of all project change orders.
  • Maintain comprehensive logs to monitor project progress.
  • Oversee the Project Assistant in managing project tracking tools.
  • Facilitate communication with clients and architects/engineers to support construction activities.
  • Collaborate with onsite Foreman and Area Superintendent to ensure adherence to schedules and budgets.
  • Identify and address potential issues, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Represent the company in meetings with clients and subcontractors.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports to track project costs.
  • Manage contract financials, including billing and expenses, while maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Additional duties may be assigned as needed to support business objectives.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in managing electrical construction projects.

  • In-depth knowledge of electrical systems and construction processes.

  • Ability to lead teams in adopting innovative construction techniques.

  • Solid understanding of project financials and forecasting.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills with field personnel.
  • Collaborative mindset to work effectively with various stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus.
  • Minimum of 10 years of project management experience in electrical construction.
  • Experience in mentoring and managing teams.
  • Familiarity with safety protocols and procedures.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Self-motivated and proactive team player.
Travel Requirements

Willingness to travel 10-25% as needed.

Working Environment

The Senior Project Manager may work in various settings, including job sites and office environments. The role may involve exposure to different environmental conditions and requires the ability to perform physical tasks as necessary.
