Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to join our team at Katalyst Healthcares and Life Sciences. As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of production processes, including wiring, component installation, cable assembly, and the assembly of complete units.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble fabricated parts at floor stations as required, ensuring dimensional specifications meet product specifications.
  • Perform functional testing and quality assurance audits to ensure products meet tolerances and specifications.
  • Test and calibrate parts and mechanisms to meet product specifications, using hand tools and power tools as needed.
  • Support the engineer and design team with design, test, fabrication, modification, and assembly of electro-mechanical systems.
  • Read and interpret mechanical engineering drawings and pneumatic schematics to inform assembly and testing processes.
Requirements
  • Ability to work from charts, diagrams, drafts, or written/verbal descriptions.
  • Ability to understand and interpret MPIs, prints, and technical manuals.
  • Knowledge of basic hand tools and ability to use them effectively.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Basic computer skills, with ability to learn and adapt to new software and systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritize, and organize workload to meet deadlines and quality standards.
  • Ability to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed to meet business demands.
  • Experience in manufacturing, assembly, or a related industry preferred, with previous vocational training also preferred.
  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment with varying internal conditions, including temperature and noise fluctuations.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and push/pull up to 30 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally, with ability to see, smell, hear, talk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and twist, crouch, crawl, reach, grasp, sit, stand, and walk as needed.
