We are seeking a Research Associate to support the commercial rollout of our RhizoSorb technology, which has been validated through extensive field trials and decades of academic inquiry, backed by prominent industry stakeholders.

ROLE OBJECTIVE
We prioritize enthusiasm, dedication, and authenticity. The selected candidate will take on a variety of responsibilities, becoming a vital contributor to our Research & Development (R&D) team. Key tasks will involve conducting phosphorus adsorption and desorption experiments, characterizing raw materials, testing soil and water, and performing nutrient leaching and incubation studies.

In addition to these responsibilities, the Research Associate will facilitate communication with internal teams regarding laboratory projects. This role includes planning and executing laboratory experiments, preparing samples for analysis, conducting both quantitative and qualitative assessments of raw materials, and developing a comprehensive scientific knowledge base related to phosphorus-soil interactions.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in the following areas:

  • Ability to manage multiple work requests effectively while meeting deadlines; strong time management and attention to detail are crucial.
  • Capability to exercise sound judgment and problem-solving skills independently.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, particularly in digital formats.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a strong command of grammar and syntax.
  • Competence in interpreting various forms of instructions.
  • Solid understanding of organic and inorganic chemistry.
  • Strong mathematical skills, including proficiency in statistics.
  • Critical thinking and analytical problem-solving abilities.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a related scientific discipline from an accredited institution.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • At least one year of laboratory research experience.
  • Familiarity with statistical and graphing software.
  • Experience in analytical chemistry techniques, including spectrometry and microscopy.
  • Successful completion of background checks is required.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • Experience in laboratory design and setup.
  • Familiarity with programming languages.
  • Knowledge in Material Science.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to lift 40 to 50 lbs occasionally.
  • Prolonged periods of standing may be required.
