Job Title: Advanced Practice Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled Advanced Practice Professional to join our team at the University of Michigan's Dexter Health Center Family Medicine clinic. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care, work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals, and contribute to the development of our clinical programs.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care, including history and physical examinations, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account patient preferences and values.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions between services.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of clinical policies and procedures.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research and best practices, applying this knowledge to improve patient outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the State of Michigan.
  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
  • Minimum of three years of recent experience in ambulatory primary care, with a strong background in evidence-based medicine.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to patient-centered care.
