Job Description

Orange Apron Media is seeking a talented Software Engineer Manager to lead and grow our core platform, driving impactful marketing campaigns and generating substantial revenue.

We are looking for a passionate and results-driven leader to contribute to the products we create and help grow the next generation of engineering talent.

The successful candidate will ensure the build of a scalable, robust, and reliable core platform that delivers exceptional performance and user experience.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading a dedicated support team responsible for ensuring smooth operation and timely resolution of issues across the core platform
  • Defining and monitoring SLAs/SLOs, providing clear visibility into platform performance and proactively addressing any deviations from set standards
  • Collaborating and pairing with product team members (UX, engineering, and product management) to create secure, reliable, scalable software solutions
  • Writing custom code or scripts to automate infrastructure, monitoring services, and test cases
  • Working with vendors and partners for the successful implementation of critical tooling and platforms
  • Creating meaningful dashboards, logging, alerting, and responses to ensure that issues are captured and addressed proactively
  • Contributes to enterprise-wide tools to drive destructive testing, automation, and engineering empowerment
  • Evaluating new technologies for adoption across the enterprise
  • Participating in and leading review board sessions to drive consistency across the enterprise
  • Filling in on product teams for engineers who are out of the office

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 5-7 years of relevant work experience
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms such as GCP or AWS or Azure, including serverless computing, containerization, and microservices
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Proven ability to effectively manage and lead a team of engineers, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented culture
  • Experience in guiding more junior team members through Software Engineering fundamentals in a professional setting
  • Ability to translate high-level strategy to tactical execution
  • Mastery in stakeholder and vendor relationship management
  • Mastery in delivery management and sustainable/reliable system delivery
  • Proficient in modern product development processes and pipelines
  • Proficient in effective troubleshooting and issue resolution techniques
  • Proficient in effective system monitoring and log analysis techniques
  • Capable of understanding complicated systems quickly
  • Experience writing SQL queries against a relational database
  • Experience working with Online Retail and/or Retail Media Networks
