About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dental Practice Manager to join our team at Community Health Programs Inc. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing operational leadership and day-to-day oversight of our dental offices, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Director of Dental Operations to develop and achieve goals for clinician performance and productivity, while maintaining a high level of quality and patient satisfaction.
  • Manage the department, including aligning clinical and operational objectives, solving problems, communicating with staff, and supporting overall performance.
  • Ensure department staff are trained and provide the best possible service and support for patients and providers.
  • Approve and submit payroll accurately, and assure billing is accurate and submitted on a timely basis.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings and document meeting agendas, minutes, and action items requiring follow-up.
  • Ensure that all staff have equipment needed to do their jobs and collaborate with Director of Dental Operations, IT, or facilities as needed.
  • Participate in Operations Team and Management meetings.
  • Ensure that standard operating procedures for compliance and safety are followed to meet local, state, and federal regulatory guidelines.
  • Produce, analyze, and actively use key metrics to effectively manage practice and staff performance.
  • Conduct performance reviews for direct reports, ensuring that adherence to CHP's core mission and values, requisite job skills, productivity measures, personal growth, and learning opportunities are appropriately assessed and managed.
  • Ensure respect and accommodation for diversity, equity, and inclusion in practice activities and the hiring and management of practice staff.
  • Attend seminars, training sessions, and in-services to keep current with trends and practices in healthcare administration, as needed.
  • Travel to other sites, as necessary, and be willing to work evening hours and weekends when required.
Requirements
  • Ability to communicate effectively, clearly, and concisely with others (internal and external customers, both verbally and in writing), consistently demonstrating a positive and proactive customer service attitude.
  • Consistently maintain ethical behaviors exemplary of quality public service and fair standards, inclusively, among all employees and members of the public.
  • Be flexible to shift priorities and ability to follow CHP dental practice guidelines, including adhering to the CHP policies, Mission, Values, and Compliance.
  • Strong management skills, from identifying staffing needs, to interviewing/hiring/onboarding, to performance management, and, when necessary, termination.
  • Must be computer literate with the ability to enter information in the CHP EHR system and compile reports or data as required.
  • Knowledge of dental care.
  • Five or more (5+) years of dental and/or medical office experience.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
  • Relevant experience at CHP or a similar healthcare organization may be substituted for educational requirements.
