As an NPI Project Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of technology. Your expertise will be crucial in managing and executing multiple New Product Introduction (NPI) projects, ensuring that our manufacturing processes meet the highest standards.

  • Dynamic Leadership: You will be a proactive and organized individual, skilled in program and project management, with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Customer Engagement: Your strong interpersonal skills will enable you to work closely with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Project Execution: You will establish and implement standards for Design for Manufacturing, leading the definition of manufacturing process requirements for new initiatives.
  • Operational Excellence: Provide critical insights into Operations' requirements early in the NPI cycle to ensure seamless integration.
  • Process Improvement: Recommend enhancements to management and engineering teams regarding manufacturing capabilities and production schedules, with a focus on surface-mounted electronic assemblies.
  • Quality Management: Oversee the stabilization of NPI transitions by evaluating in-process quality data and driving necessary corrective actions.
  • Fixture Design: Identify, design, and implement customized fixtures for production and material handling.
  • Project Prioritization: Assess and prioritize projects, establishing timelines and cost estimates for review.
  • Workforce Planning: Analyze workforce utilization, space requirements, and workflow to optimize equipment layout and workspace efficiency.
  • Technical Coordination: Collaborate with planning and design teams to ensure efficient production methods through effective product design and tooling.
  • Cost-Effective Production: Prepare drawings and parts requirements while determining the most economical production methods.
  • Continuous Improvement: Advocate for Lean Manufacturing principles to enhance productivity and reduce costs across the organization.
  • On-Site Requirement: This position requires on-site attendance as an essential function of the role.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or a related field, with 1-5 years of experience, or a minimum of five years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
  • Familiarity with electronic components, including part numbers and values.
  • Ability to conduct research on parts and other relevant information.
  • Experience in creating Bills of Materials (BOMs) with minimal assistance.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes from assembly to testing.
  • Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
