Key Responsibilities:

  • As an accomplished NPI engineer, you will be dynamic, organized, and detail-oriented, excelling in project management while effectively communicating across all organizational levels.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to foster collaboration with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Plan and execute multiple New Product Introduction (NPI) projects, establishing benchmarks for Design for Manufacturing and leading the definition of manufacturing process requirements.
  • Provide leadership by articulating Operations' requirements early in the NPI process.
  • Offer insights to management and engineering teams regarding manufacturing capabilities, production timelines, and process enhancements to streamline production workflows.
  • Oversee the stabilization of NPI transitions by analyzing quality data and implementing corrective actions to enhance product manufacturability and mitigate risks.
  • Design, manufacture, and install tailored fixtures for production and material handling.
  • Prioritize projects, setting timelines and cost estimates for review and approval.
  • Analyze workforce utilization, spatial requirements, and workflow to optimize equipment layout and workspace efficiency.
  • Design necessary equipment and coordinate schematics for electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
  • Collaborate with planning and design teams to ensure efficient production methods are in place.
  • Prepare technical drawings and assess parts requirements to determine the most cost-effective production methods.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives, applying Lean Manufacturing principles to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
  • Attendance on-site is essential for the execution of this role.

Education and Desired Skills:

  • Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or a related field, with 1-5 years of relevant experience; or a minimum of five years of related experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with electronic components, including part numbers and values.
  • Ability to conduct research on parts and other relevant information.
  • Capability to create Bills of Materials (BOMs) with minimal assistance.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes from assembly to testing.
  • Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
