Job Summary

This position is part of a job family (Associate Engineering Specialist, Engineering Specialist, Senior Engineering Specialist) where experience will be the determining factor.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provides technical support on a variety of tasks within the GPS as-built program and manages the program hardware.
  • Assists with training of field employees on GPS as-built equipment and programs.
  • Ensures required as-built documentation and records are submitted and maintained.
  • Ensures that actions follow Company standards and procedures and comply with appropriate regulations.
  • Identifies problems and relevant issues in straightforward situations, assessing using standard procedures and sound judgment.
  • Manages small to moderately complex projects. Functions as lead for individual or small group tasks.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred. In lieu of Bachelor's degree, an Associate's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related technical discipline with three years of engineering/project management experience will be accepted.
  • Must meet company standards for driving and maintain a valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in construction and field practices as well as design, operation, maintenance, and repair of natural gas distribution facilities.
  • Demonstrates sound understanding of gas distribution codes.
  • Experience with mapping or GPS equipment/applications.
