Overview


Aquent is in search of a seasoned marketing professional to spearhead the development and management of communications for the Marketplace-Seller Center. This includes the creation of programmatic advertisements and targeted messaging.

In this pivotal role, you will formulate and implement marketing strategies aimed at engaging, informing, and supporting B2B seller audiences directly on the Seller Center platform, where Marketplace sellers oversee their accounts.


The Marketplace Marketing Strategist will utilize data-driven insights, conduct A/B testing, and apply advanced marketing methodologies to design and execute impactful marketing campaigns.

The ideal candidate will possess strategic thinking capabilities, a passion for effective communication, and a profound understanding of the requirements of eCommerce sellers.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Formulate and implement comprehensive marketing strategies to engage and retain sellers.
  • Design, execute, and analyze A/B tests to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing initiatives, using insights to refine strategies and enhance performance.
  • Utilize machine learning models to tailor marketing efforts, anticipate seller behavior, and optimize marketing results.
  • Oversee and enhance programmatic advertising campaigns to boost seller engagement and success, ensuring that advertisements are accurately targeted and aligned with overarching marketing goals.
  • Develop and implement strategies for messaging capabilities, facilitating effective communication between the company and sellers.
  • Manage the Seller Center messaging system, crafting and dispatching targeted communications to sellers, ensuring that messages are timely, relevant, and improve the seller experience.
  • Collaborate with product teams to define product requirements and ensure the successful development of marketing capabilities that support strategic objectives.
  • Provide insights and feedback to influence product development and enhancements.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to seller engagement and marketing effectiveness.
  • Conduct market research to gain insights into the needs and preferences of our seller audience, tailoring communications accordingly.
  • Establish and maintain standards and documentation for Seller Center initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in marketing, ideally within eCommerce or marketplace settings.
  • Demonstrated experience with A/B testing and data analysis.
  • Familiarity with machine learning applications in marketing.
  • Experience managing programmatic advertising placements and banner campaigns.
  • Strong understanding of messaging capabilities and strategies.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and influence product development.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in marketing analytics tools and software.
