USEMCO Inc. is in search of a dedicated Materials Coordinator to enhance our operations within the WEM Department. This role involves the management of materials, the creation of purchase orders, and conducting cycle counts. The WEM Department is known for its expertise in custom fabrication and machining, operating in a dynamic manufacturing environment. Position: Materials Coordinator

Shift: 1st Shift/Full-Time: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM; Monday - Friday

Competitive Starting Pay: $21.81/hr. BOE

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the issuance of materials as required by production workflows and finalize completed work orders.
  • Prepare packing lists and provide assistance to Material Handlers as necessary.
  • Generate purchase orders for required materials.
  • Assist in stocking materials, with occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
  • Perform cycle counts and contribute to enhancing count accuracy.

Education and Experience:
Requires education generally equivalent to 4 years of high school and 1 year of relevant experience in receiving, stock management, and inventory control procedures. Familiarity with machine shop practices is advantageous.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to read and understand basic instructions and written materials related to receiving, stock management, inventory control, and safety protocols.
  • Capability to perform calculations and maintain and interpret charts related to statistical process control.
  • Strong oral communication skills to address inventory control matters with team members and interact with customers.
  • Proficient in computer usage and calculator operations.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
