Job Summary

We are currently seeking dedicated full-time CDL Yard Drivers for our Tomah location. Ideal candidates will possess a positive attitude and a strong work ethic. The primary responsibility of the CDL Yard Driver is to ensure customer satisfaction in the lumber yard by assisting customers in locating products and safely loading them for delivery. This role also involves transporting products to customers in a safe and efficient manner.

Physical Requirements

This position requires physical stamina, including the ability to lift heavy items (up to 100 lbs.), perform repetitive tasks, and stand for extended periods.

Key Responsibilities

  • Load, deliver, and unload customer orders using a boom truck.
  • Efficiently load and unload delivery vehicles.
  • Maintain product rotation and stock levels.
  • Handle shipping and receiving tasks.
  • Ensure a clean and organized work environment.
  • Provide outstanding customer service and assist customers in finding products.
  • Address customer inquiries and explain company policies.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Valid CDL is required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of driving experience preferred.
  • Willingness to obtain Articulating Boom Crane and Loader Certification.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening and physical examination.
  • Must maintain a clean driving record.
  • Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, excellent customer service, effective communication, and physical capability to manage workload.

Full-time team members are eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, including two health insurance plans with HSA and FSA options, a 401(k) plan with company match, dental and vision insurance, accident supplemental insurance, short-term disability insurance, and paid time off. Additionally, all team members receive a discount on store purchases and rentals. This position does not require night or weekend shifts.

Compensation

Wages are based on experience, starting at $23.00 per hour for new CDL drivers.
