Job Summary

The Client Services Representative is a critical role in our centralized patient-facing department, responsible for assisting patients in accessing care and facilitating billing across our medical, dental, and behavioral health services.

This role requires excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Register patients and update their demographic information in our electronic medical records system.
  • Schedule and reschedule appointments, as well as send reminders to patients.
  • Provide patients with a list of necessary items to bring to their appointment.
  • Verify patient demographic information and insurance coverage before each appointment.
  • Inform patients of their balance and provide options for payment.
  • Adhere to our No-Show policy and offer solutions to patients who miss appointments.
  • Responsible for scanning and updating patient insurance and ID cards in our electronic medical records system.
  • Obtain and scan completed registration forms, consent forms, and other necessary documents.
  • Provide patients with requested documents and facilitate correspondence.
  • Check patients in and out, schedule appointments, and send reminders.
  • Perform claim data and verify medical insurance coverage for patients.
  • Perform opening and closing duties daily.
Requirements
  • Associate degree or 2 years of equivalent work experience required.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a healthcare or call center setting preferred.
  • Fluency in medical terminology and Spanish or Amharic required.
  • 1 year of experience working with members of the LGBTQ+ community preferred.
  • 1 year of experience working with people living with HIV or issues related to HIV care preferred.
Working Conditions

This role requires working in a fast-paced office environment with minimal supervision. Individuals may be required to work evenings and weekends, as well as attend organization events.

Physical demands include standing and sitting for long periods, with occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds.
