Senior Living Operations Director

Bealls Outlet is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Living Operations Director to lead our community and team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the overall operations of the community, ensuring a positive and safe work environment, and promoting a culture of excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Planning and Community Development:
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive community development plan to maintain target census levels.
    • Provide daily hands-on leadership in setting and executing sales goals and initiatives.
    • Participate in special events, marketing efforts, and special programs to promote the community.
    • Train Directors and receptionists on conducting tours and promoting the community.
  • Financial Performance and Budgeting:
    • Review and manage community revenue reporting, budget, and financial statements.
    • Accountable for meeting Net Operating Income (NOI) goals and budgeted revenue goals.
    • Implement monthly budgets for each department and ensure spend-downs are maintained.
  • General Leadership and Quality Control:
    • Supervise and quality control for all aspects of operations, including marketing, staffing, resident care, and services.
    • Ensure a positive and safe work environment, focusing on delivery of services and resident capabilities.
    • Implement policies, procedures, and programs within state regulations and Bealls Outlet policies.
    • Monitor resident, family, and associate satisfaction, and address complaints and grievances.
  • Staff Management and Development:
    • Recruit, hire, retain, and coach high-quality teams.
    • Provide leadership and direction to Directors and feedback on department operations.
    • Conduct operation meetings with Directors and maintain a cohesive team environment.
  • Operations and Compliance:
    • Assure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
    • Support and implement all Bealls Outlet programs.
    • Approve all move-ins and move-outs, and assist in preparing financial reports.
  • Resident Care and Services:
    • Ensure specific programs, such as hydration, falls prevention, and exercise, are coordinated and implemented.
    • Participate in care plan conferences and review service plans with residents or families.
  • Resident Engagement and Activities:
    • Develop creative and exciting activity programming meeting Bealls Outlet requirements.
    • Conduct and/or arrange training to ensure associates understand the purpose behind activity programming.
  • Dietary Services and Nutrition:
    • Work collaboratively with Food Service Director to ensure dining services meet targeted goals.
    • Communicate resident dietary feedback to regional or corporate team members.
  • Asset Management and Maintenance:
    • Ensure the community, grounds, and property are maintained at the highest standard of excellence.
    • Conduct community rounds with Maintenance Director and ensure work orders are completed timely.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in business administration, health care administration, or other relevant course of study.
  • Licensure required by state (if applicable).
  • Strong leadership skills with a minimum of two (2) years' experience in supervising and management.
  • A minimum of two (2) years' experience within a senior living environment or equivalent professional experience.
Physical Demands:
  • Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, bending, turning, and stretching.
  • Finger and hand dexterity required.
  • Visual and hearing acuity essential.
  • Ability to understand and carry out written and oral instructions necessary.
