Position Overview:

The Academic Pathway Advisor will play a crucial role in engaging with prospective students through various recruitment initiatives aimed at promoting enrollment at our institution. This position involves leveraging data analytics to identify target demographics, crafting and disseminating marketing strategies across multiple platforms, and participating in recruitment events such as open houses and educational fairs.


Utilizing a student-centered approach, the Academic Pathway Advisor will assist individuals in navigating the enrollment process while exploring their academic aspirations. This role requires collaboration with various departments within Enrollment Services to ensure a cohesive and supportive experience for all students.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in student recruitment efforts to enhance enrollment numbers and provide comprehensive guidance on academic pathways.
  • Support the development and assessment of outreach strategies tailored to specific audiences and geographic areas.
  • Assist in evaluating the effectiveness of recruitment initiatives and utilize insights to inform future strategies.
  • Collaborate with the Admissions team to create targeted marketing campaigns using various digital tools and platforms.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with high school counselors and community organizations to foster student recruitment.
  • Serve as a liaison for the Admissions department within designated academic divisions to facilitate the enrollment process.
  • Guide students through transcript evaluations and offer advice on credit transfer options.
  • Participate in recruitment events, including college fairs and information sessions, to promote the institution.
  • Stay informed on current trends in admissions and recruitment to make data-driven recommendations.
  • Maintain communication with prospective and admitted students to assist them in the enrollment journey.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Education, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field, with a minimum of three years of relevant experience in academic advising, student recruitment, or counseling.
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse groups.
  • Understanding of student development principles and coaching methodologies.
  • Proficiency in multiple languages is advantageous.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Familiarity with student information systems and proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, during peak recruitment periods.
