Position Overview:

The Academic Pathway Advisor plays a crucial role in enhancing student enrollment by engaging in various recruitment initiatives designed to attract potential students to our institution. This position involves analyzing data to pinpoint target demographics, crafting and disseminating marketing materials through diverse channels, and participating in recruitment events such as educational fairs and information sessions.


Employing a student-centered approach, the Academic Pathway Advisor will guide individuals through the enrollment journey while assisting them in identifying their academic aspirations. This role requires collaboration with Enrollment Services to ensure a cohesive and supportive experience for all students.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage in recruitment efforts to attract students to the institution and provide guidance on academic pathways.
  • Contribute to the development and assessment of outreach strategies tailored to specific audiences.
  • Assist in monitoring recruitment effectiveness and leverage data to inform future strategies.
  • Collaborate with the team to design digital marketing campaigns targeting prospective students.
  • Support the creation of marketing initiatives aligned with enrollment cycles.
  • Build and maintain relationships with educational counselors and community organizations.
  • Act as a liaison for the Admissions department within assigned academic divisions.
  • Guide students in evaluating transcripts and understanding credit transfer options.
  • Participate in recruitment activities, including college fairs and campus tours.
  • Stay informed on recruitment trends and apply insights to enhance strategies.
  • Provide follow-up communication to prospective students, assisting them in navigating the enrollment process.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of academic offerings and financial information to assist students effectively.
  • Support enrollment events during peak periods, including evenings and weekends.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Education, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field, with three years of relevant experience in academic advising, student recruitment, or similar roles.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with diverse groups.
  • Familiarity with student development principles and coaching methodologies.
  • Proficiency in multiple languages is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with student information systems and proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends during peak enrollment periods.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.

The salary for this position will be commensurate with experience and education, in accordance with the relevant collective bargaining agreement. Comprehensive state benefits are included.
