Warehouse Supervisor Job Description

At IDEX, we're looking for a skilled Warehouse Supervisor to join our team at our Randolph, NJ location. As a Warehouse Supervisor, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our shipping and receiving department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the incoming and outgoing shipments of inventory, supplies, and customer products through our inventory management database.
  • Perform necessary duties to pick/pack orders to minimize waste and protect product during the shipping process.
  • Communicate with teammates, management, customers, and various suppliers throughout the day.
  • Maintain inventory controls by processing orders, printing requests, recording amounts of materials or items received or distributed in our inventory management database.
  • Prepare orders by processing pick tickets, pulling correct parts, packing boxes or pallets, creating shipping labels, and maintaining documents.
  • Stock materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to organizational standards.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet areas, and workstations neat. Sweep, dust, and organize the warehouse and work area daily.
  • Assist technicians and teammates with tasks as needed.
  • Wear proper safety equipment and report any safety findings.
  • Own and manage the warehouse space and assist management in activities related to inventory accuracy, maintaining acceptable inventory levels, and completing functions that support normal business activities.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma, GED, or Vocational Training/Certification
  • Valid driver's license with ability to operate company vehicles, including forklift
  • Commercial/Industrial Shipping/Receiving Experience: 3 years
  • UPS Campus Ship software experience or similar preferred
  • Understanding of inventory management and standard workflow
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize workload
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and able to communicate both verbally and written to customers and team members
  • Ability to bend, squat, or climb frequently. Stand or walk for extended periods. Ability to lift and maneuver equipment up to 150lbs with no assistance.
