Job Type: This position is for the overnight shift (Part Time)
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and dismantling of event spaces, including organizing furniture, setting up equipment, and ensuring cleanliness and order in event areas.
- Rearrange and move furniture in guest accommodations, communal areas, and event spaces as directed by the housekeeping and maintenance teams.
- Collaborate with housekeeping personnel to provide assistance in cleaning guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities as necessary.
- Support the maintenance team with basic repair tasks, such as changing light bulbs, unclogging drains, and performing minor repairs.
- Maintain an inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, and other essential items, and assist in replenishing stock as needed.
- Collect and dispose of waste from guest rooms, public areas, and event spaces in accordance with established protocols.
- Transport and distribute linens to designated locations, ensuring sufficient supply for housekeeping and guest requirements.
- Assist with outdoor cleaning and maintenance duties, including sweeping, watering plants, and clearing walkways of debris.
- Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests for assistance with luggage, delivery of amenities, or other guest-related needs.
- Adhere to established safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself, team members, and guests.
- Work collaboratively with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction.
- Maintain cleanliness and order in all assigned areas, ensuring they meet the hotel's cleanliness and appearance standards.
- Adapt to changing operational needs and assist in various tasks as required to support the hotel's overall objectives.
- Ability to work collaboratively with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to ensure efficient operations and guest satisfaction.
- Meticulous attention to detail when preparing event spaces, arranging furniture, and assisting with maintenance tasks.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to undertake various tasks to support the hotel's operations.
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
- Adherence to the hotel's dress code and maintaining a neat and professional appearance at all times.
- Reliable and punctual.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays, based on the hotel's operational needs.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic knowledge of maintenance tools and equipment is desirable.
- Previous experience in a similar role is a plus.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items, including furniture, mattresses, equipment, and supplies up to 50 lbs., to assist with room setups, renovations, and maintenance tasks.
- Proficient in safely pushing and pulling carts, trolleys, and equipment, both indoors and outdoors.
- Capable of bending, stooping, and kneeling to set up event spaces, move furniture, and perform cleaning and maintenance tasks in various areas of the hotel.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods while assisting with cleaning, setup, and maintenance tasks throughout the hotel premises.
- Comfortable with climbing ladders, stairs, and step stools to access elevated areas and perform maintenance tasks.
- Strong physical endurance to handle a variety of tasks, including lifting, moving, and arranging furniture and equipment, often in a fast-paced environment.
$18-$19 per hour
