Job Summary

The District of Columbia Bar is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Facilities Operations Specialist to provide administrative and operational support to the Facilities department. This role is responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the facilities, including managing supplies, maintaining equipment, and providing excellent customer service to staff and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage beverage supplies and distribute them to conference and meeting rooms, as well as staff break areas.
  • Restock paper supplies and perform basic maintenance on equipment, or coordinate third-party repair and maintenance.
  • Respond to office supplies requests and ensure regular inventory, stocking, and storage/organization.
  • Provide backup support at the reception desk and in the mailroom.
  • Support the AV Team with meeting room setup.
  • Perform general facilities tasks, including hanging photographs, moving furniture, and maintaining internal room decor.
  • Participate in building walk-through inspections, generate work orders, and follow up on completion.
  • Support emergency preparedness efforts.
Requirements
  • Relevant work experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365.
  • Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, possess excellent organizational abilities, and manage several priorities in a day.
  • Adaptability, creativity, and self-motivation.
  • Experience working in a membership association, a similar nonprofit organization, or law office.
