Job Title: Support Services Specialist

Join the Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO) in the Government of the District of Columbia as a Support Services Specialist. This role is part of the Office of Lottery and Gaming, Office of Resources Management.

Job Summary:

The Support Services Specialist will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing various support service functions, including space management, property management, supply management, inventory management, publishing services, mail services, facilities and equipment maintenance, records retention and disposition, and transportation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the liaison with the building owner to ensure facilities operations are managed in accordance with rules, regulations, and contractual requirements.
  • Oversee construction/renovation of workspaces, including developing and implementing plans for individual workstations and changes in office layouts.
  • Inspect contractor's work for compliance with specifications or standards.
  • Provide acquisition and logistical support for Lottery's fleet inventory and other support services.
  • Arrange for and/or provide transportation to designated staff for essential government business.
  • Process agency mail, special packages, and other forms of written or printed communications.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:

Two years of progressive work experience performing duties related to support service functions such as maintaining facility operations; managing departmental inventory, records, property, and transportation services; processing mail, preparing and maintaining reports.

The incumbent must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. independently and possess a valid driver's license.

This position is not eligible for Telework and Alternative Work Schedule.
