Position Overview:

As a pivotal figure in our retail environment, the Retail Operations Leader is tasked with assembling a team of high achievers, crafting an exceptional shopping experience, and empowering staff to excel. You will oversee every facet of store management, including the recruitment and training of outstanding associates who embody our brand values, while ensuring that all operational aspects align with corporate sales and profitability objectives. Your leadership fosters a positive atmosphere that nurtures and engages your team members and customers alike.

The Retail Operations Leader reports directly to the District Sales Manager.

Core Responsibilities:
As the Retail Operations Leader, you will:

  • Leverage data and market insights to formulate action plans that meet financial, customer service, and operational targets, while recognizing the unique strengths of the store.
  • Demonstrate comprehensive product knowledge and operational expertise to optimize sales performance.
  • Engage with customers to foster relationships and enhance brand loyalty through the use of company resources.
  • Attract, nurture, and retain top talent by:
    • Motivating and empowering your teams by identifying their strengths.
    • Providing constructive feedback to enhance performance and support team development.
    • Clearly communicating expectations and holding the team accountable for achieving results.
    • Ensuring consistent adherence to merchandising and operational standards.
    • Managing controllable expenses, such as payroll and training, to boost profitability.
    • Building trust within the team, even amidst differing beliefs and perspectives.
    • Maintaining composure in challenging situations and unexpected events.
    • Leading or assisting with visual merchandising and store presentation.
    • Executing POS transactions during designated shifts and fulfilling management duties in the absence of the Assistant Manager.
    • Scheduling team members according to their strengths to maximize efficiency.

Qualifications:
You will also possess:

  • 2+ years of experience as a Retail Operations Leader in a comparable volume, apparel retail environment (preferred).
  • A proven history of surpassing sales and performance metrics.
  • Flexible availability to accommodate business needs, including evenings and weekends.
  • Occasional travel to other locations may be required for meetings and training.

Additional Information:
Physical requirements include the ability to bend, lift, open, and move products and fixtures weighing up to 50 lbs, as necessary.
