Position Overview

Registered Medication Aide (RMA)

This is a full-time role with a schedule of Monday from 7am to 11pm and Friday from 7am to 11pm.

The Medication Aide is responsible for administering medications to residents in their designated area promptly and in accordance with established policies and procedures, under the supervision of a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) and in alignment with physician directives, organizational standards, and applicable regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer medications as per the Medication Administration guidelines, excluding injections and medications delivered via g-tube, j-tube, nasogastric tubes, or IV.

Qualifications:

Education: High School diploma or G.E.D. is required.

Experience: A minimum of three months of experience in basic nursing procedures is preferred.

Additional Requirements:

  • Completion of a state-approved training program, including competency evaluation and orientation.
  • Certification as a Nursing Assistant with no allegations of abuse or neglect, and current in required training.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age due to regulatory requirements.
