Position Summary

We are currently seeking a Sterile Processing Service Technician. This role requires a commitment of at least 20 hours per week, with the potential for up to 40 hours.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate competence and a thorough understanding of sterile processing practices.
  • Apply knowledge of aseptic techniques to prevent infection spread.
  • Utilize microbiological principles relevant to surgical supply operations.
  • Conduct steam autoclaving procedures, including biological testing and the use of chemical indicators.
  • Perform chemical sterilization processes and maintain sterilant cartridges.
  • Operate High-Level Disinfection systems and ensure compliance with quality assurance protocols.
  • Manage surgical instruments and supplies, ensuring proper cleaning, sterilization, and storage.
  • Identify and replace damaged surgical instruments as necessary.
  • Maintain familiarity with surgical procedures and medical terminology.
  • Follow detailed instructions for cleaning and reprocessing medical equipment.
  • Meet the physical demands of the role, including prolonged standing and lifting of heavy items.

Qualifications:

  • Must possess relevant certification or training in sterile processing or surgical technology.
  • Experience in a sterile processing environment is required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and sometimes loud environment.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Must be able to obtain federal public trust clearance.
  • Proof of COVID and flu vaccinations is required, or valid exemption documentation.

Compensation:

The hourly wage ranges from $27 to $32, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and a matching 401K plan.
