Job Summary

This position provides licensed administrative support to financial consultants at Thrivent Financial. The successful candidate will serve as a resource to financial advisors and clients, handling inquiries and communicating with customers regarding their accounts and insurance needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to financial consultants, including handling inquiries and communicating with customers.
  • Research and respond to customer inquiries regarding their accounts and insurance needs.
  • Perform routine administrative duties, such as maintaining office supplies and processing mail.
  • Prepare and coordinate the preparation of routine correspondence, reports, and special projects.
  • Support projects and administration of various programs and processing functions as needed.
  • Drive customer-facing activities in the practice by scheduling meetings with customers on behalf of financial advisors.
  • Update the contact management system with customer contact and preference information.
  • Assist financial advisors in preparing for and following up on customer meetings.
  • Collaborate with financial advisors to assist customers with product changes.
  • Participate in and drive marketing services, including direct-mail, fraternal activities, seminars, and meetings.
  • Explain, discuss, or interpret insurance contracts.
  • Communicate with customers regarding coverage and issue certificates of insurance, endorsements, binders, commitments, or insurance contracts.
Requirements
  • Previous administrative or secretarial experience is desired.
  • Must be insurance licensed and appointed in all states where activities require licensing.
  • Demonstrated customer service orientation and experience, with a minimum of 2 years preferred.
  • Strong technical computer aptitude and knowledge of business tools, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and maintain a high quality of work while experiencing frequent interruptions.
  • Ability to maintain the integrity of sensitive and confidential information.
  • Basic understanding of Thrivent Financial's products and services.
