The **Consumer Lending Operations Manager** is a key leadership position responsible for the overall direction and management of Consumer Lending operations at Frontwave Credit Union. This role oversees the Consumer Lending Department, ensuring that members receive exceptional service, and that lending operations are conducted in a timely and accurate manner.
Key Responsibilities- Department Leadership: Provide strategic direction and oversight to the Consumer Lending Department, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
- Service Delivery: Ensure that members receive prompt, accurate, and efficient service across multiple channels, including digital, phone, branch, and indirect.
- Loan Processing and Funding: Oversee the processing and funding of loans, ensuring compliance with established lending guidelines and department Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Staff Management: Supervise and develop a team of lending professionals, providing coaching, training, and performance evaluations to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process enhancements and implement changes to improve efficiency, productivity, and member satisfaction.
- Reporting and Analysis: Develop and provide regular reports and analysis to support business decisions and strategic planning.
- Member Experience: Foster a positive member experience by resolving complaints and implementing systems and procedures to prevent future issues.
- Collaboration and Communication: Serve as a liaison between the Consumer Lending Department and other areas of the organization, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience in a related field. 7+ years of experience in the financial services industry, with a minimum of 5 years in consumer lending, loan processing, and funding.
- Leadership Experience: 5+ years of leadership experience, including delegating, facilitating change, mentoring, problem-solving, coaching, and counseling staff with increasing responsibility.
- Underwriting Experience: 3+ years of underwriting experience in consumer lending.
- Knowledge of DMV Documentation and Processes: Familiarity with DMV documentation and processes.
- Experience Lending in Multiple States: Experience lending in multiple states.
