Job Overview

Relocation or sign-on bonus of $3,000 available for this role. RAYUS Radiology is seeking a skilled CT and C-arm Technologist to enhance our imaging services. In this role, you will be responsible for operating designated imaging equipment to capture detailed images of patients for diagnostic evaluation. Emphasizing a patient-first approach, you will deliver scanning services that adhere to professional standards while ensuring exceptional customer care. Patients rely on our facilities for clarity and answers, and your compassionate communication will guide them through the examination process, addressing their inquiries and concerns.

This is a full-time position with a schedule of Monday to Friday, offering various shifts between 8:30 AM and 5:30 PM, with no weekend or on-call duties. Training in CT is available.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

(90%) Patient Imaging Duties

  • Conducts patient screenings prior to examinations, ensuring safety and accuracy through the use of two patient identifiers.
  • Prepares patients for CT or Diagnostic and Therapeutic Injection (DTI) procedures, clearly explaining the process, positioning them appropriately, and providing support throughout.
  • Executes routine and advanced imaging procedures on specified body areas, assisting physicians in diagnosing and treating medical conditions with minimal supervision and repeat scans, while maintaining patient engagement.
  • Adjusts imaging parameters as necessary, applying dose reduction techniques when appropriate.
  • Fosters positive relationships with radiologists, referring professionals, and colleagues.
  • Adheres strictly to physician directives and safety protocols to ensure the well-being of patients and staff.
  • Maintains accurate patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
  • Keeps the work environment organized and clean, promoting safety for patients and coworkers.
  • Ensures compliance with ACR toolkit and accreditation standards.
  • Maintains imaging equipment in optimal condition, performing cleaning and disinfection after each use.
  • Complies with all HIPAA regulations.

(5%) Departmental Support

  • Assists in updating imaging protocol manuals and implementing software upgrades.
  • Monitors and manages medical supply inventory, requesting replenishments as needed.
  • Contributes to the training of new staff, offering guidance and technical expertise as required.
