Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled CT Imaging Specialist to enhance our radiology services. This role involves operating advanced imaging equipment to capture detailed images of patients' bodies for diagnostic evaluation.
Key Responsibilities:
As a CT Imaging Specialist, your primary duties will include:
- Conducting thorough patient screenings prior to examinations, ensuring safety and accuracy through the use of two patient identifiers.
- Preparing patients for CT and Diagnostic and Therapeutic Injection (DTI) procedures, providing clear explanations and support throughout the process.
- Performing routine and advanced imaging procedures with minimal supervision, ensuring high-quality results while maintaining patient comfort.
- Adjusting scanning parameters as necessary, utilizing dose reduction techniques to prioritize patient safety.
- Maintaining effective communication and positive relationships with radiologists, referring physicians, and colleagues.
- Accurately documenting patient information within the Radiology Information System (RIS) and adhering to safety regulations.
- Ensuring a clean and organized work environment, promoting safety for both patients and staff.
- Maintaining imaging equipment in optimal condition, including regular cleaning and disinfection.
- Assisting in the training of new staff members, sharing expertise and resources as needed.
Qualifications:
Required:
- ARRT registered technologist with current standing.
- Graduate of an accredited radiography program.
- Licensed Radiological Technologist in the applicable state.
- Current CPR certification.
- Experience and training sufficient to perform scanning procedures independently.
Preferred:
CT certification and bilingual skills are advantageous.
