Job Overview

At RAYUS Radiology, we are offering a $5,000 relocation or sign-on bonus for this role. We are seeking an MRI Technologist who will be responsible for operating MRI scanners to capture detailed images of patients' bodies for diagnostic evaluation. This position emphasizes a patient-centered approach, ensuring that MRI services are delivered with professionalism and exceptional customer care. Each patient visits our facilities seeking clarity and reassurance. You will assist patients throughout this sometimes challenging experience by effectively communicating the process and addressing their inquiries and concerns regarding the examination.

This is a full-time position (with the option for part-time status of 30-39 hours/week, 0.8 or 0.9) working Monday through Friday, with shifts scheduled between 9:30 AM - 6:00 PM and 1:30 PM - 10:00 PM, including rotating Saturdays (no on-call duties). Training in MRI will be provided.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

(90%) Patient MRI Imaging Duties

  • Conduct patient screenings prior to examinations to identify any precautions or contraindications, utilizing two patient identifiers to ensure accuracy.
  • Provide clear explanations and prepare patients for MRI procedures, detailing the process and positioning them appropriately for optimal imaging.
  • Execute routine and advanced MRI procedures on specified body areas for physician use in diagnosing and treating medical conditions, ensuring minimal supervision and repeat scans, while offering support to patients throughout the procedure.
  • Adjust MRI scanning parameters as necessary to achieve the best imaging results.
  • Foster positive relationships with radiologists, referring physicians, and colleagues.
  • Adhere strictly to physicians' orders and safety regulations to safeguard yourself, patients, and coworkers.
  • Maintain accurate patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
  • Keep the work area organized and clean, promoting safe practices for patients and staff.
  • Ensure compliance with ACR toolkit and accreditation standards.
  • Maintain MRI equipment in optimal condition, performing cleaning and disinfection after each use.
  • Comply with all HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.

(5%) MRI Department Support Tasks

  • Assist in keeping the imaging protocol manual updated and facilitate software upgrades.
  • Monitor and manage medical supply inventory, requesting additional supplies as needed.
  • Support the training of new staff, providing resources and technical expertise as required.

(5%) Additional Responsibilities

  • Complete other assigned tasks as necessary.
