With a focus on patient care, you will deliver scanning services that adhere to professional standards while ensuring exceptional customer service. Patients rely on our facilities for clarity and support during their diagnostic journey, and you will play a crucial role in guiding them through the process by addressing their inquiries and concerns regarding the examination.
This is a full-time position with a schedule of Monday through Friday, offering various shifts between 8:30 AM and 5:00 PM, and 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with no weekend or on-call duties. Training in CT will be provided as needed.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
(90%) Patient CT Imaging Duties
- Conduct patient screenings prior to examinations to identify any precautions or contraindications, utilizing two patient identifiers to ensure accuracy.
- Prepare patients for CT or Diagnostic and Therapeutic Injection (DTI) procedures, explaining the process, positioning them for optimal imaging, and providing support throughout.
- Execute routine and advanced imaging procedures on specified body areas for physician evaluation, ensuring minimal supervision and repeat scans while maintaining patient communication.
- Adjust scanning parameters as necessary, employing dose reduction techniques when appropriate.
- Foster positive relationships with radiologists, referring professionals, and colleagues.
- Adhere strictly to physician directives and safety protocols to safeguard yourself, patients, and coworkers.
- Maintain accurate patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
- Ensure a clean and organized workspace, promoting safety for patients and staff.
- Comply with ACR toolkit and accreditation standards.
- Keep imaging equipment in optimal condition, cleaning and disinfecting after each use.
- Ensure adherence to all HIPAA regulations.
(5%) Support for the Scanning Department
- Assist in maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software enhancements.
- Monitor inventory of medical supplies and request replenishments as needed.
- Contribute to the training of new staff, offering resources and technical knowledge as required.
(5%) Additional Responsibilities
- Complete other assigned tasks as necessary.
