Position Overview:
RAYUS Radiology, previously known as Center for Diagnostic Imaging, is seeking a dedicated CT and C-arm Technologist to enhance our clinical team.
Role Responsibilities:
As a CT and C-arm Technologist, your primary responsibility will be to operate assigned imaging equipment to capture diagnostic images of patients. You will adopt a patient-centered approach, ensuring that all scanning services are delivered in accordance with professional standards and exceptional customer service.
Each patient visits our facilities seeking clarity and reassurance. You will play a crucial role in guiding them through the imaging process by effectively communicating the steps involved and addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
Work Schedule:
This is a full-time position with a schedule from Monday to Friday, featuring various shifts between 8:30 AM to 5 PM and 9 AM to 5:30 PM. There are no weekend or on-call duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Patient Imaging: Conduct thorough screenings of patients prior to examinations, ensuring the correct identification and procedure.
- Preparation: Prepare patients for CT or Diagnostic and Therapeutic Injection (DTI) procedures, explaining the process and positioning them for optimal imaging.
- Scanning Procedures: Perform routine and advanced imaging procedures with minimal supervision, ensuring patient comfort and support throughout.
- Technical Adjustments: Adjust scanning parameters as necessary, employing dose reduction techniques to enhance safety.
- Collaboration: Maintain positive relationships with radiologists, referring physicians, and colleagues, adhering to safety regulations.
- Record Keeping: Accurately document patient information within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
- Work Environment: Keep the work area organized and clean, promoting safety for patients and staff.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure imaging equipment is well-maintained and sanitized after each use.
- Compliance: Adhere to all HIPAA guidelines and institutional policies.
Qualifications:
Required:
- ARRT registered technologist in good standing
- Graduate of an AMA-approved radiography program
- Licensed Radiological Technologist in the relevant state, if applicable
- Current CPR certification
- Sufficient training and experience to perform scanning procedures independently
Preferred:
- CT certification
- Bilingual capabilities
