Our Mission

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as an Assistant Safety Manager. As a key member of our safety team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the achievement of our safety and health goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular site inspections to identify and mitigate potential safety hazards
  • Administer and direct compliance with corporate safety and health policies and procedures
  • Oversee the development and implementation of project-specific safety plans and procedures
  • Coordinate and facilitate subcontractor safety planning meetings
  • Act as a resource for field operations on safety and health regulations and standards
  • Review and approve subcontractor site-specific safety programs and job hazard analyses
  • Investigate and document incidents and near-misses
  • Collaborate with regional risk managers to identify and mitigate claims trends

Requirements

  • 0-3 years of experience in construction health and safety
  • Working knowledge of federal and state safety and health regulations
  • Bachelor's degree in construction or safety preferred
  • Ability to achieve CHST designation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong planning, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and positively with field staff and external partners

Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in an office environment with occasional site visits. The employee will be required to sit for long periods, talk or hear, and perform fine motor skills. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
