This role entails the management and technical guidance related to significant maintenance and capital enhancements of current facilities, as well as overseeing the engineering aspects of new facility design and construction.

Key Responsibilities:

The Site/Facilities Engineer will undertake the following:

  • Continuous evaluation of Carlisle Construction Materials facilities, focusing on manufacturing and warehousing from both infrastructure and operational viewpoints.
  • Formulation of a comprehensive plan addressing immediate and future service needs to ensure optimal operational functionality at each facility. This plan will encompass cost estimations, scope descriptions, timelines, durations, required resources, and funding necessities.
  • Creation and upkeep of a database for each facility, capturing pertinent information.
  • Monitoring and documentation of ongoing and completed projects specific to each facility.
  • Leading the preparation of funding proposals for major projects identified in the comprehensive plan.
  • Managing projects outlined in the plan according to established project management protocols, including schedule development, budget oversight, coordination meetings, communication, documentation, and project close-out.
  • Assembling a support team of site and project-specific personnel as needed.

Essential Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Core Competencies:

  • Proficiency in computer applications, particularly the MS Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with SAP systems.
  • Understanding of regulatory frameworks and basic compliance (OSHA, EPA, NPDES, etc.).
  • Knowledge of building codes and local regulations.
  • Expertise in building systems, including HVAC, security, electrical, IT communications, plumbing, and piping.
  • Familiarity with fire safety systems, including FM Global and NFPA standards.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD and Bluebeam is advantageous.
  • Expertise in construction and project management.
  • Awareness of best practices in manufacturing and construction safety and environmental health.

Education & Experience Requirements:

Education: A Bachelor's Degree in a Technical Discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, or Construction Management is preferred).

Equivalency: An Associate's Degree in a Technical Field with at least 10 years of relevant work experience in a technical or skilled trade related to this role (e.g., construction, manufacturing maintenance).

Experience: A minimum of 10 years of experience in an industrial, manufacturing, construction, or similar technical field.
