Position Overview

We are looking for a seasoned and licensed Civil Engineer to join our team as a Senior Project Manager. The ideal candidate will possess over 10 years of extensive experience in the civil engineering sector, particularly in land development initiatives. This individual should excel in leading and mentoring engineering teams, demonstrate exceptional client relationship management skills, and have a proven history in business development.

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership:

  • Provide strategic direction in the planning, design, and execution of intricate land development projects.
  • Oversee project teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality engineering solutions while adhering to established plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Coordinate with various stakeholders, including support staff and clients, to guarantee timely and accurate information flow.
  • Act as the primary liaison for clients, ensuring their needs and expectations are met throughout the project lifecycle.

Technical Expertise:

  • Utilize extensive experience and engineering skills to supervise and perform site grading, drainage, roadway, utility, and structural design.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, federal, and international building codes and best practices to uphold safety and environmental standards.
  • Implement best practices in engineering design using advanced software tools, including Civil3D and GIS.
  • Contribute to a solution-oriented culture by critically addressing complex engineering challenges.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and innovations, integrating new technologies into project workflows.

Team Development:

  • Lead and mentor engineering teams, promoting a collaborative and innovative atmosphere.
  • Provide guidance on technical challenges and professional development opportunities for team members.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and understanding of their needs.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor, offering expert insights and recommendations to enhance project outcomes.

Business Development:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to support the firm's growth and expansion.
  • Collaborate with business development teams to prepare proposals and participate in client presentations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license is required.
  • A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in civil engineering, focusing on land development projects.
  • Demonstrated success in leading and managing engineering teams.
  • Exceptional technical knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices.
  • Strong client relationship management skills with a proven ability to meet client needs.
  • Experience in business development, including proposal preparation and project acquisition.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant engineering software and tools.
