Product Development Team Assistant

At Cabela's, we're seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Product Development Team Assistant to support our product development teams in developing new products or executing product revisions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process sample requests and distribute samples to vendors and factories overseas.
  • Communicate with vendors and factories regarding samples status, timelines, quotes, product information, and requests for spare parts.
  • Initiate product packaging job requests and review packaging job content with developers and designers.
  • Manage packaging project updates, including CA Prop 65 and brand standard updates.
  • Create product New Item Set-up forms for hardgoods overseas vendors on the vendor portal.
  • Complete product SKUs and UPCs, and QC check packaging files for UPC reading accuracy.
  • Work with product development teams on product reviews and support customer service inquiries.
  • Communicate updated specifications, instruction sheets, and product pages on the internet.
  • Assist development teams in loading information into product/program spreadsheets for line reviews, cost analysis, customer feedback, and other data entry projects.
  • Actively participate in development team meetings to assist in project tracking status and follow-up.
  • Ship and track all product samples to/from factories.
  • Pull samples for review and coordinate shipment of reference samples to vendors.
  • Ensure samples shipments are compliant with correct HTS and ECCN codes.
  • Provide administrative support for ordering supplies, processing invoices/expenses, and vendor agreements.
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree in general business or related field.
  • 2-3 years of office experience, with functional knowledge of MS Teams and proficiency in Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build relationships and work independently.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with ability to meet tight deadlines.
