Job Title: Admissions Coordinator

At Premier Nursing and Rehab Center of Far Rockaway, we are seeking a highly skilled Admissions Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our admissions department, you will play a vital role in ensuring a seamless and efficient admissions process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Admissions Director in ensuring a smooth admissions process
  • Complete admission paperwork in a timely manner
  • Effectively communicate with referral sources and outreach teams
  • Coordinate with unit staff and RNs to prepare for admissions
  • Ensure all rooms are ready for new admissions
  • Support the outreach team with literature preparation and promo item inventory management
  • Collect and verify financial and other relevant information from family members and hospitals
  • Conduct tours for prospective families
  • Communicate concerns or observations regarding other departmental functions or procedures to the Admissions Director
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Previous admissions experience in healthcare facilities preferred
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong coaching and support skills for the admissions and marketing team
  • Knowledge of Medicare requirements and insurance providers
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English
  • Computer literacy, including familiarity with EMR software systems
  • Ability to make independent decisions as needed
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact tactfully with staff, residents, family members, and visitors
